Energy renovation subsidies in Luxembourg 2024

Luxembourg offers one of Europe’s most generous energy renovation support programmes. Between PRIMe House, Klimabonus and municipal grants, you can fund up to 70% of your work. Here’s a complete overview of available schemes.

PRIMe House: The main programme

The PRIMe House programme is Luxembourg’s central energy renovation support scheme. It covers:

Eligible work

  • Thermal insulation: roof, walls, floors, cellar
  • Windows: replacement with double or triple glazing
  • Heating: heat pumps, high-performance boilers
  • Renewable energy: solar panels, solar thermal
  • Ventilation: double-flow heat recovery ventilation

Klimabonus 2024-2025

Klimabonus supplements PRIMe House with additional bonuses for:

  • Comprehensive energy renovation: up to 30% additional
  • Can be combined with PRIMe House: yes

Municipal grants

Many Luxembourg municipalities offer additional support:

How to access the grants

Step 1: Energy audit

Have an energy audit carried out on your home. Cost: €500-1000 (partially subsidised).

Step 2: Get quotes

Request multiple quotes from qualified contractors. On tack.lu, you can get up to 3 free quotes.

Step 3: Submit application

Before starting work, submit your grant application on MyGuichet.lu.

Step 4: Complete the work

Have the work done by approved professionals (mandatory condition).

Step 5: Get reimbursed

Submit invoices to receive reimbursement within 30-60 days.
