The leading reason a Klimabonus grant is refused is not the cost of the work — it is a procedural mistake. Starting the work before receiving approval, forgetting a supporting document, using the wrong form: these are all avoidable errors. Here is the step-by-step guide to the Klimabonus 2026 procedures and forms, so you can secure your grant without any nasty surprises.

The 4 steps of a Klimabonus 2026 application
The order is essential. Following it determines whether you obtain the grant.
Step 1 — Energy advice (if required)
For a renovation covering several elements, energy advice provided by an adviser accredited by Klima-Agence is mandatory. It results in a report of recommendations that forms the basis of the application. For a single measure (one window, one technical installation), this advice is generally not required.
Step 2 — Approval in principle (BEFORE the work)
This is the step never to overlook: you must obtain an approval in principle from the Guichet unique des aides au logement before starting the work.
Warning: starting the work before obtaining approval in principle automatically results in the application being rejected. The first request for approval in principle must be submitted between 1 January 2026 and 31 December 2030.
Step 3 — Carrying out the work
The work must be carried out by a company that is approved and registered in Luxembourg. Carefully keep the quotes, itemised invoices and proof of payment.
Step 4 — The payment request
Once the work is completed and paid for, submit the payment request. It must be submitted to the Guichet unique within 4 years from 31 December of the year of the invoice.
The Klimabonus 2026 forms
Depending on your project and your status, the grant application form is called DEPA-2026:
| Form | For whom |
|---|---|
| DEPA-2026 natural person | Individuals (owner-occupiers, landlords) |
| DEPA-2026 legal person | Companies, co-ownerships, legal entities |
You can submit your application in two ways:
- Online, via MyGuichet.lu or the MyGuichet.lu mobile app (the recommended, faster route);
- By submitting or posting the dedicated form to the Guichet unique des aides au logement.
Where can I find the official forms? The DEPA-2026 forms and up-to-date procedures are published on the government website: guichet.public.lu — Klimabonus 2026. Always check that you are using the most recent version of the form before filling it in.
